Opening of the new Indoor Hardcourts on Nov 17

It’s finally happening: our new permanent hall is opening – we’re proud and very happy to welcome you there! The outdoor works around the building will continue for a little while longer. Even if there is still some construction work going on outside, tennis can be played as normal in the new hall from next week onwards.

Date

The permanent hall will open on Monday, 17 November 2025.

In the coming weeks, some minor work will still be carried out inside the hall and the outdoor works will be completed. Play in the hall will not be affected by this.

Bookings

All current season ticket holders for indoor courts have already been informed separately. For technical and organisational reasons, we are currently unable to accept new season bookings. We will let you know as soon as this is possible again.

Single bookings will be available as usual via eBuSy from 16 November onwards.

At the moment, bookings can only be paid via PayPal.
The air dome (Traglufthalle) will continue to operate as usual and can still be booked as normal.

New group training from 17 Nov: Beginners & Advanced

Starting 17 Nov, we’re launching weekly group training for adults in our air-dome — small, focused and match-oriented. Groups have a maximum of four players, giving you lots of ball contacts and individual feedback. Open to everyone aged 16+. Sessions are held in German; our coaches also speak English if needed.

We offer two levels:

  • Beginners build reliable rallies — with solid baseline and half-court fundamentals, simple techniques and first patterns of play, plus group games.
  • Advanced develop pace, spin, placement and tactics, incl. serve/return, net play and match sequences. The goal for both courses is the same: play longer, more targeted and stable under pressure.

Times are clearly separated: Beginners train on Mondays 18:00–19:00 and Wednesdays 19:00–20:00. Advanced train on Mondays 19:00–20:00 and Wednesdays 18:00–19:00. Participation is possible without membership (guests €23 per hour; members €17). Please bring clay court shoes; rackets can be borrowed if needed.

All group training sessions

All courses & training on eBuSy

Booking & terms: Register and pay easily via eBuSy and PayPal. Cancellations are possible up to two days before the start; refunds are issued as eBuSy credit. The minimum number of participants is 2 players (if not reached, we cancel and credit the booking).

New Fee Schedule Starting 1/1/2026

The extraordinary general meeting on 31 October approved a new fee schedule that will take effect on 1 January 2026. The reasons are rising operating costs, necessary investments in courts and facilities, and the need to further professionalise our administration and processes. We have also simplified and clarified several rules. You can find all details in our fee schedule online.

Because of the change to the fee schedule, you have a special right of termination until 31 December 2025; the termination will take effect on 31 December 2025. A simple email is sufficient.

Thank you for your support—it helps us maintain and further improve the quality of our facilities and programmes in the years ahead.

Dome Set-Up on 11 October

Courts 3 and 4 and the dome

Dear club members,

Due to rain forecast, we had to postpone our dome setup. New date: On 11 October we’ll set up our air dome together! On that day, we’ll be counting on your helping hands.

Why your help matters

We need lots of volunteers for the dome set-up. The good news: you can complete your 5 mandatory volunteer hours that every member owes each year. If you don’t complete these hours, a fee of €15 per unworked hour will be charged at the end of the year.

What’s planned?

Alongside putting up the dome, there’s more to do:

  • Grounds maintenance – our courts need some attention before winter
  • Clubhouse work – together we’ll get everything in shape for the new season

Key info at a glance

When: Saturday, 11 October, approx. 8:00–17:00
What: Dome set-up, grounds maintenance, and clubhouse tasks

To help us plan staffing, please register in advance:

Register here: https://treptower-teufel.ebusy.de/event-module/3#

Very important: On site, please write your name legibly on the attendance sheets. Only then can we credit your volunteer hours. Without an entry, we unfortunately cannot record them!

Fancy tennis in winter, too?

If setting up the dome gets you in the mood for warm indoor tennis – you’ll find all information about our winter subscription courts here:

Three Days of Electric Tennis Action at the GLTA Devil Aces Cup

GLTA Devil Aces

The first GLTA Devil Aces Cup this past weekend was a phenomenal success. Three days of pure tennis magic organized by Christian Krause took place at the stunning Treptower Teufel Tennis Club in Germany, and boy, was it a spectacle!

It’s All About Numbers

With an impressive 90 entries from 18 countries – yes, you heard right, EIGHTEEN – the competition was as fierce as it was diverse. Players jetted in from Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Spain, France, Argentina, Israel, Japan, the USA, Greece, Ireland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Ghana, Poland, Singapore, Peru, and Italy to participate. The global representation was a sight to behold, and it wasn’t just the tennis that had everyone talking!

The Categories of Play

Competitors battled it out in five different leagues: Open, A, B, C, and D. The Open category featured the crème de la crème of tennis players, while the other categories accommodated varying skill levels. All the matches were played with grit and grace, and the excitement in the air was contagious!

More than Just Tennis!

Players Party
Player’s Party with Anna Klatsche

What sets the Devil Aces Cup apart is that it’s not just about the tennis. Sure, there were astonishing volleys, mind-boggling serves, and heart-stopping rallies, but it was also about building bonds and having a blast. Players and spectators alike reveled in the parties, camaraderie, drinks, and, of course, unforgettable tennis.

One of the weekend highlights was the Saturday night players’ party, where participants were treated to a sumptuous buffet and groovy music presented by the fabulous local drag queen, Anna Klatsche. The laughter and joy from that night could probably be heard miles away!

The Champions Crowned

Now, let’s talk about the champs who stole the show. In the Singles Open, Jiri Skrivanek triumphed over Mára Mázl in a Czech showdown, while the dynamic duo of Cheicky Koita and Dirk Weichert claimed the Doubles Open.

In League A, the intense singles match between David Stephen Kinder and Robert James Berry was won by Kinder. For doubles, the trophies went to the fantastic pairing of Paul Ernst Pietraß and Christoph Schöneseiffen.

League B’s singles title went to Sebastian Semella, with Adrian Biasca and Karl-Heinz Schröder clinching the doubles.

In League C, Christos Nikolaou was the star, taking home the singles title after defeating Ferdinand Dyck and partnering with him to win the doubles.

And lastly, in League D, Patrick Rettig-Palatá emerged victorious in singles, while Robert Eichs and Gianni Salamino dazzled the crowds by winning the doubles.

Looking forward

The GLTA Devil Aces Cup was a true celebration of tennis, friendship, and fun. The spirit of sportsmanship and the joy of coming together was heartwarming. To all the players, organizers, and fans, thank you for making it an unforgettable event. We can’t wait to see what next year holds! One thing is certain, the Devil Aces Cup will return to Berlin in the early summer months of 2024.
