Group training · doubles & group games · for new members in their year of joining
For over 10 years, Newcomer Training has been a core part of life at Treptower Teufel. You’ll meet other new members, play in changing groups (singles/doubles) — and get practical tips from our coaches on technique, tactics, and rules.
The essentials in 1 minute:
- When: summer season (May to the end of September), Mondays from 7 pm — no sessions during Berlin school holidays or on public holidays
- Where: outdoor courts · meeting point: Court 8
- How it works: 60 minutes of training · then free play on a few courts until dusk
- Included: balls provided · rackets free to borrow
- Cost: included in the membership fee (for new members in their year of joining)
- Age: 18+
Note: Newcomer Training is not beginner training. You should already have basic playing experience (able to rally). If you’re completely new: Beginner courses or individual training.

Who is Newcomer Training for?
- You’re new to the club (joined this year) and want to meet playing partners.
- You have at least basic playing experience (able to rally).
- You’d rather play (doubles, group games) than only drill technique in isolation.
If you’re just getting started: Take a look at our beginner courses — or begin with individual training.
Fine print
- No sessions during Berlin school holidays or on public holidays.
- Weather: In bad weather, training is cancelled.
- Equipment: You can borrow a racket for free; balls are provided. (Clay-court shoes are ideal; regular sneakers are fine as long as the tread isn’t too aggressive.)
