On Sunday, 19 April, we kicked off the outdoor season with our ribbon tournament starting at 10 am. Despite the rain forecast, we got lucky: the rain only started after the final point had been played.
We used a simple and fun format with randomly assigned doubles pairings that changed every 15 minutes. Each win earned a ribbon. So while there was certainly some sporting ambition, the main focus was on having fun, meeting other players, and enjoying time on and off the court.
At the end, Lev finished on top with a 100 percent win rate. He was followed by Frieder and Detlef, who both reached a strong 87.5 percent across eight matches.
